PolarCOM is a free and integrated NMEA 0183 marine navigation instrument data bridge and multipurpose data display.
Available for Apple Mac OS X and Windows systems, it combines background server operation with high quality easy to read and fully customizable digital instrument views, complementary to a chart display of PolarView.
PolarCOM can bridge any NMEA 0183 compatible data. It will understand and display data based on following sentences: GLL, GGA, GSA, GSV, VTG, RMC, DBT.
Available instrument types include:
· GPS position
· Speed Over Ground
· Course Over Ground (True)
· Course Over Ground (Magnetic)
· Depth Below Transducer
· Time of Day
· GPS Satellite Status
